Thanks to all who attended our screenings! Attendance was up by 30% over last year’s festival: 900 people came to see 12 films over 5 days at 3 venues, and that’s not counting 2 jam-packed pub film quizzes! We (the Festival Committee & volunteers) are exhilarated & exhausted at the same time – and already dreaming up next year’s festival!
Saturday 18 August is the very last day of the festival. You can still get FREE tickets for “Big Hero 6” @ 2 pm, “Moulin Rouge!” @ 5 pm, and “LA Confidential” @ 8 pm – all showing at the Borough Hall. See you there!
Only a few tickets remaining for our screening of the perennial favorite “Babe” for Friday @ 2 pm at the Wilfrid Noyce Centre, Godalming!
Fabulous night at The Star last night with a wickedly challenging film pub quiz! The winning team was Pigs in Blankets – Porky’s, made up of Kate Willy, Bex van Koetsveld, Freddie Nazroo and Linda Cogger! Congrats and hope you enjoy a meal at Pizza Express and a tasting tour at Elstead Village Distillers
We now have a full pub of eager film quizzers on Tuesday 14th @ 8 pm @ The Star! May the best team win! Great prizes!
Tune in all you early risers! We are on BBC Surrey radio this Friday 10th August @ 7:05 am.
Listen up! Our own Michael O’Sullivan will be on air with Mike Buxton on BBC Radio Surrey this Friday at 5:50 pm! He’ll be talking to Mike about the festival line up so be sure to tune in!
The tickets for “Babe” on Friday 17 August @ 2 pm are going fast. If you want to see the sheep-herding pig and his farmyard friends on the big screen, be sure to book your free tickets via Eventbrite!
Station House (on Sunday 22 July) got all of us in the “groove” with their unique mix of blues, jazz, reggae, British punk – just what we all needed to chill in the summer heat! We definitely chose the best band to sponsor at Music in the Park!
